Zadok, also spelled Ṣadok, Ṣadoc, [1] Zadoq, Tzadok or Tsadoq ( Hebrew: צָדוֹק הַכֹּהֵן, romanized : Ṣādōq ha-Kōhēn; lit. 'righteous, justified'), was a Kohen (priest), biblically recorded to be a descendant from Eleazar the son of Aaron. [2] He was the High Priest of Israel during the reigns of David and Solomon. [3]
