Norwood, town, Norfolk county, eastern Massachusetts, U.S., on the Neponset River, 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Boston. Settled in 1678, it was incorporated (from parts of Dedham and Walpole) in 1872.
Norwood is an old mill town resting on the Neponset River valley in Massachusetts. It features beautiful natural landscapes perfect for camping or canoeing during summertime plus numerous shopping outlets like Legacy Place mall and Walpole Mall.
Located about 15 miles southwest of Boston, Norwood is a charming city with a lot to share with visitors. The city separated from Dedham in 1872 and it is home to the Oak View Mansion, used by Presidents William Howard Taft and Calvin Cooolidge for their social events.
