The Pyramid Solitaire game uses a standard deck of 52 cards and owes its name to the 28 cards that appear on the tableau in the form of a pyramid (see figure 1). The pyramid has seven rows, starting with one card on the top and ending with seven cards on the bottom. All cards are laid face up and must overlap each other.
