  1. Nov 18, 2019 · Lots to read in here on these motors and the differences, because there's a wide difference between a 2018 and a 2015, with both motors. 2.7 better gas mileage, less towing capacity. 3.5 less gas mileage, better towing capacity. This is a pretty well covered topic on this forum and I linked one of the more recent threads about it.

  2. Oct 24, 2019 · TBH, I'm amazed you can even find a 3.3 in real life. Everyone’s favorite engine choice, the 5.0 Coyote V8, is back for 2018 with “significant upgrades.”. Those include optimizing air flow at the ...

I'm currently in the decision-making process between the 2.7 and the 3.5 engines. My primary consideration for potentially opting for the 3.5 is my intention to tow a camper weighing up to 8k total GVW (2-3 times a year at)

  6. Engineered for robust hauling capabilities, the 2023 Ford F-150 delivers best-in-class towing and payload capacities. Harness the power to tow a remarkable 14,000 pounds with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 or up to 13,000 pounds with the 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine, both of which also offer the highest payload capacities.

  7. Jun 14, 2019 · The 2.7 was intended as a truck engine and has great torque, with good HP. The 3.0 has notably higher HP, with similar torque figures to the 2.7. HP numbers are important marketing tools in CAR/SUV wars, even if most people driving them would never notice the difference (torque makes a vehicle feel fast).
