The Trainee Program is 4 years in length. If entering the program as a high school students, dancers are expected to be working toward high school graduation. For dancers who have completed their high school education our affiliation with New Jersey City University (NJCU) provides the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance.

The Ballet Trainee Program of the Joffrey Ballet School is a four year program that is both competitive and intensive. From September through May, this program trains dancers in the classical ballet technique and artistry required for an active career in a professional company.
