The Context for Learning. The middle school social curriculum incorporates activities that foster a positive social and emotional growth in students and focus on Maret’s core values. Grade-level meetings and smaller advisor group gatherings help students gain a greater understanding of these values and how to live them authentically.
Jun 24, 2024 · In my family's experience, Maret has done some things extremely well, while some other areas need improvement. My child began Maret as a high school freshman . Maret is a K-12 school. Maret offered an academically vigorous environment but not more than what was to be expected from a long-standing DC Independent School.

Sports Performance Program(Upper School Athletics) Maret partners with SiSu Systems to provide training programs developed by certified strength coaches for our teams and athletes in the Upper School. Our goal is to provide age-appropriate programs that enhance performance, prevent injuries, and build confidence in every athlete.
By 1954, Maret started admitting boys to Upper School and graduated its first co-ed senior class (five girls to one boy). With a new back field, the School established its first football team. Woodley's front lawn offered the venue for the Fête Champêtre, held each May. More than half the students came from other countries.
