An Early Frost has to be one of the finest made for television films I've ever seen. And it is hard to believe that, in 1985, it was the FIRST movie that actually dealt with the topic. In the new millennium the mere mention of a antibiotic resistant tuberculosis was enough to cause a national panic.

It is a very moving film which while having a very retro decor has some brilliant acting, Michael's struggle with AIDS is not only powerful but is also frightening when you think what an AIDS diagnosis meant back in 1985.
