About this movie. Captured by the US military in Afghanistan, Mohammed (Vincent Gallo) is transported to a secret detention centre somewhere in Europe. When an accident allows him to escape, Mohammed must confront the necessity to kill in order to survive.
Thankfully Essential Killing plays to Gallo's strength by having him play a character that doesn't have a single line. Essential Killing is a simple tale of survival that gets a bit muddled because the film poorly uses flashbacks.
