Dec 17, 2013 · An Age Of Kings is 55 years old and even though remastered, the picture quality reflects it. It was an ambitious move, to screen all of Shakespeare’s history cycle. Cuts were necessarily harsh and the action studio-bound, yet the quality of acting and some extremely thoughtful direction make this a fine series of TV drama.
