Henry Ross Perot Sr. ( / pəˈroʊ / pər-OH; June 27, 1930 – July 9, 2019) was an American business magnate, politician, and philanthropist. He was the founder and chief executive officer of Electronic Data Systems and Perot Systems.
Henry Ross Perot Jr. (born November 7, 1958) is an American businessman and real estate developer best known for his development of Alliance, Texas, an inland port near Dallas–Fort Worth, and for making the first circumnavigation of the world in a helicopter, at age 23.
In certain polls, he led the three-way race with Republican nominee George H. W. Bush, the incumbent President, and Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas, the Democratic nominee. He dropped out in July 1992 amid controversy, but re-entered in October, participating in all three presidential debates.
