Groaned at the 2 hour 20 minute run-time, originally, but I was thoroughly invested, not only with Gerald Butler's wacko, muscle-built intensity, but with the crispness of the location-work, the clarity of the action, and the specific character details that make Den of Thieves a full-size meal and not just some tasty leftovers.
"Den of Thieves" is an entertaining crime film with the showdown of Los Angeles County Sheriff "Big Nick" O'Brien and his team, and the criminal Ray Merrimen and his skilled gang of bank robbers. The plot is full of action and twists and the identity of the mastermind is a great surprise.

Jan 19, 2018 · Spoiler alert: the only reason Den of Thieves is nearly three hours long is a clear devotion to the psalms of Mann Heat:95. Tucked into this movie is a fairly straight forward tale of robbers and the cops what been hired to hunt 'em, modernized how we like it these days for a maximum focus on dirtbags, biceps and a whole bunch of actors that look like other guys.
