Feb 22, 2024 · Colonel Jim Keene, the Commander of The United States Army Field Band, has been kind enough to share with the Association of Concert Bands their new “Virtual Music Classroom”, a series of online educational tutorials for music students and teachers. These videos are very well done and cover a variety of music subjects.
Then, while pursuing a Master of Music from Indiana University, she auditioned for The U.S. Army Field Band and became a vocalist with The Soldiers’ Chorus in 2008. After five years with the unit, Labrecque-Pearson auditioned for a position with The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” and became a member of The U.S. Army Voices.

The United States Army Band plays Christmas music at the Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Vietnam during the holiday season in late December 1970. The United States Army Band was established on 25 January 1922 by General of the Armies John J. Pershing, Army Chief of Staff in emulation of European military bands he heard during World War I.
