Dec 7, 2006 · There are many recordings of the Rachmaninoff Concerti, but only this one features the composer himself. Clearly a talented pianist, he plays better than most, although the interpretation may not be what one expects. If so, change expectations and learn from this recording.

Many consider it to be one of the greatest piano concertos ever written. 3 in D minor is another beloved work. It is a more dark and brooding piece than the first two concertos, and is considered by many to be Rachmaninoff’s finest work.
