Fall 2024 Automatic First-year Student Merit Awards. Start by applying for admission, and you will be considered for our special awards! For qualified students, the Generations Award requires an application. Students who receive a full tuition scholarship are not eligible for these merit awards from the Office of Admissions.
Transfer students. International transfer merit scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement and outstanding talent or achievements in one or more of the following areas: math and sciences, the arts, extracurricular activities, community service, leadership, innovation, or entrepreneurship.
Transfer Achievement Award (TAA) $19,500 ($6,500/year for up to 3 years*). The Transfer Achievement Award is automatically awarded to all nonresidents who have been offered admission to Iowa State for the fall or spring semester and who have completed 30 transferable academic college semester credits with a minimum 3.25 cumulative transferable academic grade point average.
