This is a beautiful album with so many styles expressed on it but everything is Tommy Bolin-- his voice and guitar style are singular no matter the genre he explores on this LP. It still dazzles me to this day. The recording and mastering are also impeccable-- wide dynamics, great musicianship on every track-- a joy to listen to.

Aug 5, 2013 · Most folks seem to prefer Teaser, but Private Eyes has always been my favorite. For those that don't know, Tommy Bolin was in Zephyr, Deep Purple and James Gang, before striking out on his own, serving up two amazing solo albums before he died of a drug/alcohol overdose. Hugely talented and eclectic. Now about Private Eyes.
