A spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans, The Originals centers on the Mikaelson siblings, otherwise known as the world's original vampires: Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt).
The Originals is an American fantasy supernatural drama television series that began airing on The CW on October 3, 2013. It is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries and the first television series expansion of the franchise based on its parent series.
Klaus, is joined by his siblings Elijah and Rebekah, who move back to New Orleans for the first time since the 1900s. The trio's sudden resurgence in New Orleans threatens the power dynamics in the city, and gives rise to a war between the vampires, witches and werewolves.
