The SMART Connect microtransit shuttle connects train passengers to the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) and the surrounding business corridor. The shuttle operates 8 AM – 6 PM, 7 days per week, excluding holidays.
SMART Train Fare. SMART fares are based on the number of zones traveled. The fare per zone is $1.50 for adults (ages 19-64), youth (ages 0-18) and seniors (ages 65+) travel fare-free. Persons with a disability or on Medicare receive a 50% discount fare of $0.75 for each zone traveled.
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) is the North Bay’s passenger rail service providing a safe, reliable and congestion-free transportation option for Marin and Sonoma counties. The current 45-mile system includes stations in the Sonoma County Airport area, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Cotati, Petaluma, Novato, San Rafael, and Larkspur.
Trains run from shortly after 4 a.m. to about 10 p.m.; check the online schedule for details. All this makes for the perfect way to explore central Sonoma County sans automobile. Every two-car SMART train holds up to 158 seated passengers, 160 standing passengers, and 24 bicycles.
May 3, 2017 · The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) District today released its passenger train schedule that includes 34 trips each weekday, with more frequent service during peak commute times.
The SMART Pathway provides first and last-mile connections to train stations and offers a safe way to travel along the rail corridor, particularly in areas where the SMART Pathway is the shortest path of travel between communities.
Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) is a rail line and bicycle-pedestrian pathway project in Sonoma and Marin counties of the U.S. state of California. When completed, the entire system will serve a 70-mile (110 km) corridor between Cloverdale in northern Sonoma County and Larkspur Landing in Marin County.
