- Well, don't be fooled. JoJo is a show that thrives on novelty, not on smarts. Ultimately, the only purpose of JoJo's plot is to give a lot of burly men with superpowers to do battle with a lot of other burly men with superpowers in as many cool settings as possible. That being said, in that regard the story is actually quite well done.
