STEP 1 Learn about the benefit. The Board of Directors of the Motion Picture Industry Individual Account Plan (“IAP”) approved a one-time hardship withdrawal of of an elected amount of need up to 20% of a Participant’s 2022 IAP account balance not to exceed a maximum dollar limit of $20,000.
MOTION PICTURE INDUSTRY INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNT PLAN. The Motion Picture Industry Individual Account Plan is a defined contribution plan that provides participants with either a lump sum payment or a monthly benefit. It is completely Employer-funded and the amount of a participant’s benefit will be their account balance at the time of retirement.
HEALTH PLANS. There are three health plan options, one PPO and two HMOs. The PPO plan is administered by the Motion Picture Industry Health and provided by Anthem/Blue Cross. The details of the coverage can be found between pages 35 and 67. The two HMO plans are offered through Health Net and Kaiser Permanente.
