The Curriculum at Auckland Girls’ Grammar School is designed to provide our students with learning experiences that lead to academic success and build their capacity for independent and life-long learning.
During the Depression of the 1880s, girls from the Girls’ High School joined the Auckland College and Grammar School as it was then known, mainly out of economic necessity. In 1899, the School once again became known as Auckland Grammar School, but girls remained on the roll until 1909.
Auckland Girls' Grammar School has students from more than 50 different countries. Auckland Girls' Grammar School is a signatory to the New Zealand Ministry of Education (Pastoral Care of International Students) Code of Practice 2021.
