Gulliver's Travels (known in some markets as Ted Danson's Gulliver's Travels) is an American-British TV miniseries based on Jonathan Swift 's 1726 satirical novel of the same name, produced by Jim Henson Productions and Hallmark Entertainment.
4 May 1699 – 13 April 1702. During his first voyage, Gulliver is washed ashore after a shipwreck and finds himself a prisoner of a race of tiny people less than 6 inches (15 cm) tall, much like little people in mythology, who are inhabitants of the island country of Lilliput.
Returning home after nine years lost at sea, Dr. Lemuel Gulliver obsessively relives his experiences among the tiny people of Lilliput and the giants of Brobdingnag. As a result, he is admitted to the insane asylum Bethlem Royal Hospital.
It chronicles Gulliver's visit to the tiny, bellicose land of Lilliput, and to its peaceable counterpart, Brobdingnag, land of the giants. It brings to life the less famous stories of the hilarious Laputans, and the terrifying Struldbruggs.
