Lake Thunderbird, situated in central Oklahoma, hosts tens of thousands of visitors each year. The state has established Lake Thunderbird State Park on the shores of the lake which is framed by rolling, oak-covered hills and sandy shores with some 86 miles of shoreline.

We live near this lake and enjoy fishing and skiing. The boat ramps are usually not busy except for holidays and weekends, but the wait time on the boat ramps are reasonable. The State employees are friendly and helpful.
