Tony Isabella (born December 22, 1951) is an American comic book writer, editor, actor, artist and critic, known as the creator and writer of Marvel Comics' Black Goliath; DC Comics' first major African-American superhero, Black Lightning; and as a columnist and critic for the Comics Buyer's Guide.

The humble Ohioan could not be prouder that “Black Lightning,” a character made during his time at DC Comics, continues to inspire fans and readers around the world.

Marvel's Misty Knight, whom most of you know from the Luke Cage and Iron Fist series, and DC's Black Lightning, who currently has his own live-action TV show of the same name.
