I am in the process of backing up my photos on my iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 17.1.1) to an external hard drive SSD (SanDisk 4TB Extreme) via a USB Camera Adapter (i.e. power source via a lightening jack + SSD USB input—I've attached a photo of it).
