Jun 10, 2024 · Press shift+tab in-game. This should bring up a steam overlay. Click the "workshop" button in the right-top corner. This should open up a workshop where you can find and download add-ons to your game for free, simply by clicking the download button.

There will be 2 updates, one on 21st that brings Steam Workshop changes, another on 24th that brings 64bit builds and Chromium.
Addons are distributed in the Steam Workshop. Garry's Mod popularity is built heavily on addons, hundreds of addons are uploaded every week in the Steam Workshop. There is about currently 358 thousand addons as of writing in July 2024 which are in the terabytes!
