Her own cited reason is that it's a feminist action, i.e. "why is it okay if a boy has his shirt off during his set". She also says that it leads to lots of flashes from the crowd. Also, I haven't watched every live performance from her, of course, but she appears to only do it during the bridge of Talking Body.
