Same Time, Next Year. When Doris (Ellen Burstyn), a young housewife from Oakland, and George (Alan Alda), an accountant from New Jersey, meet by chance at a rural California inn, they embark on an affair that brings them together on the same weekend, in the same place, for the next 26 years.
