The Slap is an American drama television miniseries, which aired on NBC from February 12 to April 2, 2015. It is an adaptation of the Australian series of the same name , which was based on Christos Tsiolkas ' 2008 novel of the same name.

The series is based on The Slap, a 2008 novel by Australian author Christos Tsiolkas, which explores what happens when a man slaps a child, who is not related to him, at a suburban barbecue.
After Victorious premiered, the link to TheSlap.com became an easter egg in iCarly' s opening sequence. All of the main characters but Trina and Jade had their Slap posts used as scene transitions. At the end of some episodes, an advert for TheSlap is seen.
