Kenny Pittenger (born January 24, 1971; age 53) is one of the crew members on SpongeBob SquarePants. He has worked on the show since 1999, also works in the other series derived from the show in Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, and The Patrick Star Show. He is currently the supervising producer for the Patrick Star Show.
He studied at California State University-Long Beach and from 1998 onwards, he began to work in different animation companies such as Cartoon Network Studios, Warner Bros. Animation, and obviously in Nickelodeon Animation Studios, and has held positions as layout artist, Animation and Art Department, background designer, main title design and animation, key background designer, and lastly as storyboard director and artist. He worked in well-known series like CatDog, Rugrats, Pink Panther & Pals, in some short films in Random! Cartoons, and Camp Lazlo.
In addition to working on the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, he also worked on the HBO Max exclusive series Looney Tunes Cartoons, as a director and writer.
R.I.P. Peter Bennett (1967-2024) According to Kenny Pittenger’s IG post, the longtime SpongeBob crew member has passed away at the age of 57. He was part of the crew since the first season. A lot of those gross closeups you see through the show as well as most of the title cards were his works.
