Iain Smith OBE (born 8 January 1949 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish film producer. He is known for his productions of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), The Fountain (2006), Children of Men (2006) and The Fifth Element (1997), among others.
Iain Smith. Producer: Children of Men. Iain Smith was born in Glasgow and graduated from the London Film School in 1971. He worked in London for several years before returning to his native Scotland to make "My Childhood", for the British Film Institute, the first of the award winning trilogy by the late Bill Douglas.

In 1976, Smith formed his own production company in partnership with Jon Schorstein (Smith Schorstein Associates Ltd) and produced television commercials, documentaries, children's feature films and low-budget dramas. In 1978, he production-managed Bertrand Tavernier's Death Watch, [1] starring Romy Schneider and Harvey Keitel.
Joining BAFTA in the early 1980s Iain Smith OBE was instrumental in the formation of BAFTA Scotland in 1986. In 2005 he was the recipient of BAFTA Scotland’s Outstanding Achievement in Film Award.
