The film catapulted her to a 'Super Star' sensation. [1] . He directed nine films until 1959, after which he got into writing dialogues, scripts and stories for films.

According to Dr Ram Narain,COO,Kokilaben Hospital,Dutta was admitted to the hospital on February 7 and he succumbed to complications of pneumonia yesterday.
