Saul Chaplin (February 19, 1912 – November 15, 1997) was an American composer and musical director. He was born Saul Kaplan in Brooklyn, New York. He had worked on stage, screen and television since the days of Tin Pan Alley.

He was co-musical director of Summer Stock (1950, starring Judy Garland and Gene Kelly) and of An American in Paris (1951, directed by Vincente Minelli, and starring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron), for which he won his first Academy Award, sharing it with co-musical director Johnny Green.
Saul Chaplin was a composer, songwriter, pianist, conductor, arranger, author and producer. He collaborated with Sammy Cahn and Johnny Mercer and wrote songs such as "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon" and "Anniversary Song".
