NEIL CUTHBERT BIO. I am a playwright, film, and television writer. I grew up in New Jersey, received an MFA from Rutgers University, moved to New York and worked off Broadway, principally at the Ensemble Studio Theater, where many of my plays were produced and I served as the company’s literary manager.
Neil Cuthbert is a longtime member of EST. His plays produced by the company include The Soft Touch, The Perfect Stranger, First Thirty, and Strange Behavior. He has written screenplays for most of the major studios--his credits include Hocus Pocus and Mystery Men. For television he has written pilots and episodes for CBS, Showtime, and NBC.
