Samuel "Sam" Deats is the Creative Director at Powerhouse Animation Studios. He is also a writer, animator, illustrator, character designer and storyboard artist.
He directed all episodes of the Netflix Castlevania animated series (2017-2021), where he created concept arts, storyboards, and helped in the general animation.
Other works of his include the films Meet the Patels (2014) and Flutter (2014). He also worked in the video games Darksiders and Battle Chasers, where he worked alongside Joe Madureira; as well as Starhawk, DC Universe Online and the Epic Mickey series.
