Liz Phair is the fourth studio album by the American singer-songwriter Liz Phair, released on June 24, 2003, on Capitol Records. It was produced by Phair, Michael Penn , Pete Yorn , R. Walt Vincent and the Matrix songwriting team.
Phair would end up re-working some of these songs with Michael Penn, who would also be tapped to produce the album. With Penn, Phair had actually recorded an album’s worth of material when they initially presented them to Capitol, but the label’s response was tepid at best.
