Peter Frank Davis (born January 2, 1937), is an American filmmaker, author, novelist and journalist. His film Hearts and Minds, about American military action in Vietnam, won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 1974.
Peter Davis is an Oscar-winning filmmaker who has worked on documentaries such as Hearts and Minds, The Selling of the Pentagon and Nelson Mandela: Prisoner to President. He was born in Los Angeles in 1937 and is the son of screenwriters Frank Davis and Tess Slesinger.
