Mayo Simon is an American screenwriter, author and playwright. He is the father of the author Francesca Simon and biologist-X-Files science advisor Anne Simon.
Simon Andrew Hicks Mayo MBE (born 21 September 1958) [1] is an English radio presenter and author who worked for BBC Radio from 1982 until 2022. Mayo has presented across three BBC stations for extended periods. From 1986 to 2001 he worked for Radio 1, including a five-year stint on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show.
Mayo Simon was born in 1928 in Illinois, USA. He is a writer, known for Futureworld (1976), Marooned (1969) and Man from Atlantis (1977).
