Wataru Mimura (三村 渉, Mimura Wataru, May 7, 1954 – August 26, 2021) was a Japanese screenwriter with a career largely focused around Toho's Godzilla series. On August 26, 2021, Mimura died from multiple system atrophy.

He also wrote the screenplays for GREEN BOY (1989) and LITTLE SINBAD (1991), and co-wrote those for FRITA (1987) and LOVE ALWAYS – ALMOND PINK (1988).

Mimura's screenwriting career began in 1987 with Freeter. He continued to work on television projects and film through the 1980s.
