Jan 26, 2007 · This is one of my favorite recordings of Irish music no matter the player. James Kelly is an enormously talented fiddler with a great feel and an impeccable sense of timing and space within a tune. Zan Mcleod is a very tasteful accompanist.

In 1995, Kelly recorded The Ring Sessions album with Zan McLeod. In 1996, Kelly released his second solo album, simply titled James Kelly . This album featured the accompaniment of Paddy Keenan (pipes), Zan McLeod (guitar, bouzouki , mandolin ), Mark Stone ( keyboards , bodhrán) and Daithí Connaughton ( flute ).
