Red Scale (赫鱗, Sekirin?) is the thirty-seventh episode of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation and the thirteenth episode of the second season.

Yuji Itadori makes his way to the Shibuya Station where he's confronted by Choso. Choso unleashes his Convergence and the battle between him and Yuji commences.

After splitting up with Megumi near Shibuya Tower, Yuji runs along the expressway towards the Shibuya Station. While dashing across a bridge, Yuji notices civilians are being attacked by Transfigured Humans down below.

There's a large number of attackers and Yuji is left contemplating whether he should intervene or not since he cannot just do nothing about it, but he also does not have enough time to save all the civilians. Being extremely close to Shibuya Station leaves him even more torn on what he should do. Suddenly, he hears someone say, "spiced cod roe", a very familiar vocabulary that gives him some hope. Yuji notices it being Toge, who gives him a peace signed hand gesture. He jumps down asking Inumaki to protect the civilians, Toge responds by saying "Salmon, salmon" and Itadori quickly leaves the scene and heads to the station, deciding it's best to leave it to his upperclassman. Once Itadori leaves, Toge promptly unzips his turtleneck and pulls out what appears to be a megaphone. He then uses his Cursed Speech against the Transfigured Humans.

At 10:10 P.M., Yuji enters Shibuya Station. Unbeknownst to him, Choso awaits inside ready to avenge his brothers. The jujutsu student runs inside and is surprised to see the building is pretty much abandoned. He believed there were supposed to be a large group of people trapped in the station and wondered if he was going the right way.

Yuji stops after going down a set of stairs as he comes face to face with Choso. They're both altered to each other's presence, but Choso is first to act. He recognizes Yuji and is instantly enraged by the thought of his two brothers' deaths. As soon as Choso lays eyes on Yuji he quickly uses Blood Manipulation, Convergence Piercing Blood to attack him. Caught off guard by the Piercing Blood's incredible speed, Itadori tries to defend, but the attack immediately pierces clean through his left arm. Itadori bends his body to the left which prevents the attack from amputating his arm, making the attack shoot upwards and penetrate the ceiling, slicing a sign in two from above instead.

Choso immediately follows up by casting Convergence again, swirling blood and condensing it between his palms. Yuji gets low and rushes toward Choso with great haste whilst avoiding the incoming Piercing Blood simultaneously. Before Choso can attack with more blood, Yuji uppercuts him with his injured arm. Choso blocks the punch with his arm and leg as Yuji winces from the pain. Choso's guard is hit with a double impact, something Choso finds strange.

Choso asks if his younger brothers had any last words before they died but Yuji doesn't know who he's talking about. Choso clarifies that he means the two people Yuji killed and the student says they didn't really have last words, but they did cry before they died. Choso is initially shocked and then quickly overcome with rage as he uses Flowing Red Scale. Choso asks Eso and Kechizu to watch over him as he exudes massive volumes of blood behind him that covers the ceiling above him. He then gathers the blood into an orb in his hand. Yuji quickly charges and tries to kick him, though Choso dodges the attack. However, Yuji then grabs and wrestles him to the floor before slapping the blood orb away, causing it to explode on the floor.

•The fight between Yuji and Choso in the station's hallway is extended and altered:

•In the anime, after being hit by Piercing Blood the first time, Yuji deflects the beam, causing it to slice a traffic sign above the station in half. In the manga, he dodges to the side after being hit, causing the beam of blood to shoot past him.

•In the anime, the fight between the two combatants after Yuji answers Choso's question about his brothers and before Choso prepares to fire his third Piercing Blood is mostly original. The hand-to-hand combat after Choso blasts Yuji with a wave of blood is adapted from a scene in the manga that takes place after Choso's stabs Yuji's feet with a dagger of blade, which occurs later in the anime.

•In the anime, after Choso sweeps Yuji's legs, he misses a palm strike and hits the wall next to them. He then grabs Yuji's arm and strikes him in the chest, pushing him far away before using Convergence to prepare his third Piercing Blood. In the manga, Choso sweeps Yuji's legs and successfully hits Yuji with the palm strike and smashes his head against the wall before hastily firing his fourth Piercing Blood.

•In the anime, when Yuji kicks him away after Choso stabs his feet, Choso fires his fourth Piercing Blood, which launches Yuji away but is shown off-screen. In the manga, when Yuji kicks him away, Choso feints performing Convergence before pummelling Yuji (as mentioned above) and then firing his fourth Piercing Blood, which is seen launching Yuji away.

•In the anime, Choso attacks Yuji with Slicing Exorcism while he is conversing with Mechamaru, forcing Yuji to hide behind cover as he continues his conversation. In the manga, Yuji and Mechamaru discuss their plan in the open, during which Yuji evades Choso's Piercing Blood.
