Grace Slick (born Grace Barnett Wing; October 30, 1939) is a retired American musician and a painter whose musical career spanned four decades. She was a prominent figure in San Francisco's psychedelic music scene during the mid-1960s to the early 1970s.
She married Jefferson Airplane drummer Spencer Dryden, became Grace Slick’s BFF and enjoyed every minute of it—without a single regret. Sally Mann was so much a part of the California rock fabric that when Rolling Stone published a special Groupies issue, she was its cover girl.
