Two Sides of Peter Banks is the debut album by ex-Yes, Flash, and Syn guitarist Peter Banks. It features contributions from members of several progressive rock bands, including Genesis ( Phil Collins and Steve Hackett ), King Crimson ( John Wetton ) and Flash (Ray Bennett and Mike Hough).
In 1973 Banks recorded his debut solo album, Two Sides of Peter Banks. It was recorded at the same time as Out of Our Hands, with Banks working with Flash during the day and travelling to a different studio to work on his own at night.
Predominantly, these are Jan Akkerman of Focus, who is Banks’ main collaborator, Phil Collins, and Flash bandmates Ray Bennett and Mike Hough. Briefer cameos are provided from Steve Hackett and a John Wetton who was just dipping his toes into King Crimson at the time.

Nov 15, 2007 · Two Sides of Peter Banks meanders something awful, as if the guitarist never got around to finishing it. In its defense, there are some brilliant prog passages on the first side that anticipate the work of Anthony Phillips and Steve Hackett (who actually appears on one track).
He rejoined Genesis for their Turn It On Again Tour in 2007. Following a five-year retirement to focus on his family life, Collins released his memoir in 2016 and completed his Not Dead Yet Tour in 2019. He then rejoined Genesis in 2020 for a second reunion tour, ending in March 2022.
