About Us. The Feminist Bird Club was founded in NYC by Molly Adams in 2016 as a way to leverage both their passion for birds and their passion for social justice into a cohesive whole. Since then, the Feminist Bird Club has expanded to chapters across so-called North America and Europe.
A self-proclaimed food-pusher, Molly Adams has been cooking for the loved ones for as long as she can remember. She is a classically-trained chef with a background in catering, private cheffing and food media. Her experience includes recipe development, recipe testing and food writing.
May 3, 2019 · As a solo female birder in New York City, Molly Adams has felt unsafe on more than one occasion. So in the fall of 2016, she began the Feminist Bird Club to create a space where women, trans individuals, people of color, and other marginalized groups could experience birding in a protected environment.

Sep 5, 2023 · Molly Adams is the founder of the Feminist Bird Club and former advocacy and outreach manager at NYC Audubon. She completed a BA at Pratt Institute and an MA in marine conservation and policy at Stony Brook University. They live among the Catskill Mountains in New York. Her favorite birds are nightjars.
