Writer: Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio. Matthew Robbins was born in New York City and went to the Johns Hopkins University, where he received a BA degree in Romance Languages. Shortly after getting his MFA at the USC School of Cinema, he began writing screenplays with partner Hal Barwood.
