The Feuchtwanger Family. Regina Lippman (1832-1921) immigrated to Philadelphia from Memmelsdorf, Bavaria, about 1846. After marrying Sigmund Feuchtwanger, she lived for a time in New York City before coming to Pittsburgh in 1887.
He was the son of Stella (Stettheimer) and Sigmund Feuchtwanger, who were from German Jewish families that had emigrated to the United States in the nineteenth century. Wanger was from a non-observant Jewish family, and later attended Episcopalian services with his wife.
