Paul Stupin is an American film and television executive. Biography. After graduating from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Stupin went to Los Angeles to work for NBC in series development. In 1986 he became a vice president for production at Tri-Star Pictures, overseeing such films as Steel Magnolias, and Short Circuit.
Paul Stupin is known for Switched at Birth (2011), Fortune Hunter (1994) and Beautiful People (2005).

Paul Stupin is an American producer and the executive producer of Dawson's Creek.
Stupin was referred to as "the big cheese who has been with the show since its inception. He pretty much guides the show from every aspect of pre-production to the final product you see on the air. Some of his many duties include often being on the set, dealing with budgetary issues, sitting in on story meetings, casting sessions, overseeing editing, etc."
Prior to joining Columbia TriStar, Stupin worked at NBC in series and drama development, then vice president of production at TriStar Pictures until 1989. He returned to TV as executive vice president of programming for Fox, where he oversaw the creation of Beverly Hills, 90210 and In Living Color.
Stupin eventually began working for Columbia TriStar Television (now Sony Pictures Television) and met with Kevin Williamson to produce his new show Dawson's Creek. Stupin would continue working for the show after it ended, producing the DVDs and overseeing the music replacement for the series.
