His maternal grandmother was Naga Mani Avasarala, and his paternal grandfather was Venkata Satya Narayana Murthy. His educational background includes time spent at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering, and the Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation in Vijayawada.
