This is called Designated Hero, its when a work wants you to gloss over all of the character's worse traits and actions and uncerimonuesly see them as a heroic figure, but taking a step back and viewing these "heroes" traits and actions show that they are no hero or at least arent a character we should be looking up to and rooting for.
