    Matt sets out to clear Emmett Dooley (Strother Martin), who has been accused of murdering one of his hunting companions Ken Lynch appears, and James Nusser appears in a role other than Louie Pheeters).

    Addled, quirky buffalo hide skinner Emmett Dooley (Strother Martin) believes that he killed a man and demands to be put in jail. Dooley was told by his partners that he killed a man while shooting a rifle in a drunken state. The partner, Colpitt (Ken Lynch), leaves Dooley alone on the prairie saying that he does not want a murderer riding with him....
