St John Bosco College is situated on the site of its predecessor school Salesian College which was founded in 1895 in Battersea, London by the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
In 1956 work began on the present Blackburn Building. It provided ten new classrooms, a new hall, gymnasium and changing rooms.
